Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. Utilize the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and access to community resources. Perform related duties as assigned, including Charge Nurse responsibilities, with ACLS certification required. Maintain current RN licensure in the state of employment and hold current BLS certification, with ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
