Job Summary
Deliver, direct, and supervise patient care on the nursing unit by utilizing the nursing process for admitted patients. Plan, coordinate, and provide interdisciplinary care including discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and community resource access. Work under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, with ACLS certification required for Charge Nurse roles. Maintain current RN licensure and BLS certification, with ACLS certification required within 90 days of employment.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
