Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized, safe patient care. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication through rounds and case reviews while documenting care timely. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching. Mentor staff and students, lead performance improvement initiatives, and contribute to shared governance activities. Develop protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments. Work nights in a fast-paced oncology acute care environment with a minimum of five years direct patient care experience.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Reg Nurse Single State or RN-COMPACT Multi-state Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS (Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support) or BLS-I (Basic Life Support - Instructor)
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Possessing strong critical thinking skills
