Registered Nurse (RN), FT Nights, Oncology (Acute Care)

Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for individualized patient care in an acute oncology setting. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching. Lead or participate in shared governance activities, value analysis, and research utilization to promote safe, quality outcomes and improve protocols. Mentor preceptors and staff to support workforce development and model professional practice standards. Complete mandatory education, competency assessments, and evidence-based practice initiatives aligned with Wellstar policies and TJC safety goals.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Reg Nurse Single State or RN-COMPACT Multi-state Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS (Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support) or BLS-I (Basic Life Support - Instructor)
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Practices nursing using evidence and analytical skills
- Strong critical thinking skills
- Optimize the use of technology to support clinical care
- Holds basic computer skills
- Complies with all Wellstar Health System policies, standards of work, and code of conduct
