Job Summary
Perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, using evidence-based practice to ensure individualized, safe patient care. Coordinate interdisciplinary communication and documentation while partnering with patients and families to set goals and provide bedside teaching. Demonstrate teamwork by participating in shared governance, leading performance improvement initiatives, and mentoring staff to foster a respectful clinical environment. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments while developing protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Maintain licensure and certifications under the Georgia Nurse Practice Act, functioning decisively in a fast-paced oncology acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
