Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for individualized patient care. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and bedside shift reports to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes. Partner with patients and families to set goals and provide just-in-time teaching while documenting care timely. Participate in performance improvement projects, value analysis, and shared governance activities to drive evidence-based practice and reduce adverse events. Mentor preceptors and staff students to support workforce development. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments while upholding Wellstar policies and the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Reg Nurse Single State or RN-COMPACT Multi-state Compact)
- BLS (Basic Life Support) or ARC-BLS (Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support) or BLS-I (Basic Life Support - Instructor)
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
- Strong interpersonal, collaborative skills
- Customer service skills
- Ability to function in a fast paced environment and respond to emergencies in using a decisive, composed and respectful manner
- Excellent time management skills
- Possessing strong critical thinking skills
