Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation for individualized patient care. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, case reviews, and bedside teaching while documenting care and promoting a respectful clinical environment. Partner with patients and families to set goals, participate in shared governance activities, and lead performance improvement initiatives. Mentor staff and students, develop protocols to reduce re-admissions, and utilize evidence-based practice to address clinical questions. Maintain licensure and complete mandatory education while functioning decisively in a fast-paced oncology acute care setting.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Nursing or Diploma (Nurse) Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN - Reg Nurse (Single State) or RN-COMPACT - RN - Multi-state Compact
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
