Job Summary
Perform the nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation using evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Provide relationship-based, patient-centered care while partnering with patients and families to set goals and deliver individualized treatment plans. Coordinate interdisciplinary rounds, documentation, and case reviews to ensure safe, high-quality care delivery. Mentor staff and students, participate in performance improvement initiatives, and develop protocols to reduce re-admissions and adverse events. Complete mandatory education and competency assessments while upholding Georgia Nurse Practice Act standards and Wellstar safety absolutes. Requires 5 years of direct patient care experience, BLS certification, and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed RN (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state Compact)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or ARC-BLS - Amer Red Cross Basic Life Support or BLS-I - Basic Life Support - Instructor
- Minimum 5 years RN experience
- Ability to read, write and speak English language
