Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse in Oncology (Acute Care) provides patient-centered, evidence-based care using the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes, planning, implementation, evaluation) in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include relationship-based patient care, bedside/rounds communication, documentation, adherence to standards of practice, and participation in performance improvement and shared governance. The role emphasizes teamwork, provision of culturally competent care, precepting/mentoring others, and ongoing professional development within Wellstar's governance and practice models. Required licensure and BLS are specified, with a preference for a Bachelor's degree and less than 1 year of direct patient care experience; roles align with night shift duties in an oncology acute care setting in Georgia.
Required Qualifications
- Required Minimum Education: Associates Nursing or Diploma Nursing or Bachelors Nursing-Preferred
- RN license (Single State) or RN-COMPACT (Multi-state)
- BLS - Basic Life Support (or equivalent)
- Less than 1 year direct patient care experience (preferred)
- Completion of accredited/approved school of nursing with requisition clinical hours
