Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, deliver patient care by utilizing the nursing process to plan, coordinate, and provide services to admitted patients. Manage interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and access community resources. May assume Charge Nurse duties with ACLS certification. Maintain current BLS certification and obtain ACLS certification within 90 days of employment. Requires current RN licensure in the state of residence.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
