Job Summary
Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Direct and lead assigned team members while collaborating with multidisciplinary staff to deliver age-appropriate care. Focus on patient and family needs through health teaching, goal coordination, and outcome identification. Maintain a safe environment by ensuring privacy and adhering to professional standards. Participate in shared governance, peer review, and professional development to promote clinical excellence. Work 36 hours per week as a full-time employee.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree
- minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse
- Licensure as a registered nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Current American Red Cross BLS for Healthcare Providers certification
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
- Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment
- Visual acuity and color perception
- Auditory ability to effectively communicate with patients and colleagues
- Stamina and resilience to handle the physical and emotional demands of providing patient care
- Mobility to navigate clinical environments
- Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment
