Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned adult medical patients, maintaining professional accountability and evaluating the effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinate patient care with other departments while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality of information are upheld. Manage diverse medical needs including small bowel obstructions, respiratory infections, and pneumonia within a collaborative team environment. Perform duties consistent with Mercy's mission, values, and service standards. Requires current Missouri RN licensure, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Full-time days shift from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
