Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Plan, coordinate, and provide patient care including interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources. Perform related duties as assigned, such as Charge Nurse responsibilities, with ACLS certification required. This role operates under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer, Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse. Full-time employment includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, disability benefits, and life insurance. Current RN licensure and BLS certification are required, with ACLS certification needed within 90 days.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates
- Current BLS certification
- AHA approved BLS certification
- AHA approved ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
- ACLS certification within 90 days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience
