Job Summary
RN Clinical Nurse provides patient-centered oncology/acute care nursing in an interdisciplinary team, performing the nursing process with evidence-based practice, coordinating care, documenting thoroughly, and supporting education and professional development. Responsibilities include patient teaching, interdisciplinary rounds, leadership in care planning, adherence to policies and safety standards, and serving as a preceptor to staff and students to ensure a qualified workforce. The role emphasizes compassionate care, population-specific care, culturally sensitive practice, and active participation in performance improvement and shared governance.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing; Bachelor's in Nursing preferred
- RN license (single state) or RN-Compact (multistate)
- BLS certification (American Red Cross BLS or equivalent)
- Less than 1 year direct patient care experience
- Oncology/acute care nursing experience preferred
