Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) assesses consumers and documents triage, behavioral health, physical health, and/or substance abuse issues; demonstrates crisis intervention and de-escalation skills; provides education to consumers and families on behavioral health diagnosis, medications, and treatments. Performs detailed nursing assessments, documents medication administration and reconciliation, plans treatment with the multidisciplinary team, educates on psychiatric care and psychopharmacology, records and debriefs seclusion/restraint incidents as required, transcribes provider orders, administers medications, draws labs, and conducts discharge handoffs. Requires active RN license and completion of an accredited nursing program; nursing duties occur in a crisis behavioral health setting with shift differentials for nights and weekends; minimum one year of psychiatric/behavioral health experience preferred. The role is full-time and located in Tucson, AZ with on-site presence.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from an accredited Nursing program
- Unrestricted active RN license through the Arizona State Board of Nursing
- Arizona Level 1 fingerprint card
- Vaccination policy compliance or approved exemption
