Job Summary
Registered Nurse - RN in home dialysis setting. Responsible for assessment, planning, intervention, and evaluation of clinically competent care for an assigned group of patients, including home dialysis training and treatment therapy with prescribed protocols. Collaborates with End Stage Kidney Disease health care team, educates patients and families, trains Home Dialysis patients and Home Partners, ensures accurate data collection and documentation, administers medications as prescribed, participates in emergency response, and supports CAP requirements for professional development. Supervisory roles include oversight of other nursing staff as a Team Leader or designated Nurse in charge; requires state nursing licensure, CPR/BLS certification, and a minimum of 12 months RN experience with nephrology/home dialysis experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current appropriate state licensure
- Current or successful completion of CPR BLS Certification
- Must meet the practice requirements in the state in which he or she is employed
- Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience
- Minimum of 1-year experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred)
- Home dialysis therapy experience (preferred)
- The position may require travel to training sites, other facilities or patient homes
