Job Summary
Provide knowledgeable and caring clinical practice and care coordination through an understanding of patient, family, nurse, and healthcare delivery team. Conduct all patient care in a patient and family-centered manner using an integrated approach toward patient outcomes. Utilize standards, guidelines, and pathways for care delivery while managing 35-50 patients daily with a 3-4:1 ratio. Perform ventilator and ABG care as trained staff in a supportive team environment. May perform additional duties as assigned. This role floats between Inova Cornwall and Inova Ashburn freestanding emergency departments, offering flexible self-scheduling and rotating weekend shifts.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse, for Critical Care units
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a critical care setting
- completion of a critical care fellowship
- BSN or AD
- Licensed or eligible for licensure in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a Registered Nurse
- active multi-state Registered Nurse license
- BLS from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
Desired Qualifications
- Two (2) plus years Emergency Department (ED) as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
