Registered Nurse (RN) - Float Pool - Days

Float across 65+ inpatient units at Barnes-Jewish Hospital providing direct patient care activities including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Develop and document individual plans of care with defined goals in collaboration with the interprofessional team while promoting patient and family-centered care. Educate patients and families on illness management, post-treatment home care needs, and medication administration. Participate in activities that promote patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while engaging in professional development. Assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs according to standards of care, accommodating diverse population-specific values and barriers to involvement. Work independently in a variety of clinical settings with full-time 12-hour day shift coverage (7:00 AM–7:30 PM), earning a $15/hour Float Differential plus applicable shift differentials. Every third weekend and three holidays per year are included. Nurses with ICU experience may float to additional high-acuity and critical care areas.
