Job Summary
Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments while documenting patient care and monitoring conditions. Assist patients with activities of daily living and collaborate across disciplines to coordinate transfers, discharges, and referrals. Evaluate learning needs and provide patient education, acting as an advocate for physical and emotional well-being. Determine and supervise daily staffing assignments, providing direction, training, and mentoring to staff. Handle complex issues and complaints as needed. Requires current Kentucky RN license, BCLS/ACLS/PALS certifications, and two years of critical care experience. Floats across all hospital areas on a 3x12 rotating weekend schedule.
Required Qualifications
- Current Kentucky or compact state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, Preferred
- Current RN to practice in the state of (KY)
- BCLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification
- National Certification within 1 year
- 2 years of critical care experience
- Critical thinking skills
- Decisive judgment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work in a stressful environment
- Ability to take appropriate action in stressful environments
- Schedule: 3x12 shifts, (7a-7p) rotating weekends
