Job Summary
Assess, plan, and implement nursing interventions for a defined patient population while evaluating care effectiveness and maintaining cost efficiency. Participate in unit-based and organizational quality improvement initiatives, uphold Patient Care Services philosophy, and demonstrate professional growth through literature reviews and continuing education. Engage in student and new employee orientations, teaching activities, and professional organization involvement. Maintain current Georgia nursing licensure, BLS certification, and obtain ACLS, PALS, or NRP within six months of hire. Work various shifts including every other weekend and two minor holidays with one major holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing
- 2 years or more of experience in RN experience in related area (floor or critical care)
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license
- Must be available for every other weekend
- Must be available for two minor and one major holiday

- National specialty certification applicable to area of practice
