Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in a Float Pool role supporting Augusta, GA (and related location) with responsibilities including assessment, planning, and delivery of nursing interventions using the nursing process to achieve optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities include participating in unit-based and organizational quality improvement initiatives, contributing to continuing education, mentoring orientations for students/new staff, and upholding patient care services philosophy. Requires 2+ years of RN experience, BLS, and active Georgia RN license or multi-state compact; ACLS/PALS/NRP required within 6 months for select units. Preferred BSN and national specialty certifications applicable to practice. Scheduling involves every other weekend and two minor and one major holiday.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited/approved school of nursing
- 2 years or more RN experience in related area (floor or critical care)
- Current American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS)
- ACLS, PALS, or NRP (only in select units/departments) must be obtained within 6 months of hire
- Current Registered Nursing License (Georgia) or qualifying multi-state compact license
