Job Summary
Registered Nurse Float (RN) administers chemotherapy and biologic agents as prescribed, monitors cancer-treatment related issues, collaborates with healthcare professionals, participates in cancer research trials, provides patient and caregiver education, and supports follow-up care across multiple NYCBS locations in Suffolk/Nassau counties.
Required Qualifications
- Valid New York State RN License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Proficiency with an EMR (preferred)
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer, standing, bending and reaching
- Knowledge of standard precautions and the ability to utilize appropriate PPE when administering cytotoxic agents and handling bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times
- Reliable transportation to travel to NYCBS locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau counties
