Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) Float Critical Care / ICU. Provides assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care on a nursing unit with supervision of non-RN personnel; may serve as Charge Nurse and preceptor. Responsibilities include developing individualized plans of care, coordinating with healthcare team, educating patients and families, and ensuring high-quality care in Neuro/Cardiac ICU settings. Requires BSN preferred, CT-licensed RN, BCLS certification (or within one month), and ongoing professional development. Units include Cardiac ICU, CTICU/WP3, and Cardiovascular ICU/Stepdown with advanced cardiac and critical care responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
