Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Float Critical Care / ICU expected to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on Neuro and Cardiothoracic ICU units; supervise non-RN staff; serve as charge nurse; develop individualized care plans, document outcomes, educate patients and families, and collaborate with the healthcare team; skilled in neuro assessments, airway management, ventilator care, tracheostomy suctioning, and post-operative cardiac care; responsibilities include precepting new staff and maintaining high levels of service.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- BSN or higher
- Current Connecticut RN license or eligibility
- BCLS certification or within one month of hire
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
