Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) in Float Critical Care/ICU at YNHHS. Role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care on a nursing unit, with supervision of non-RN personnel, potential charge nurse responsibilities, and precepting new staff. Neuro-focused expertise including neuro assessment, airway management, care for trached and ventilated patients, and care in the Neuro ICU. Demonstrates competency in neuro procedures, Halo brace care, and knowledge of the Tia Teaching Program. BSN preferred; 1 year acute nursing experience required; CT RN license and BLS required.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing (BSN preferred)
- 1 year acute nursing experience required
- Valid State of Connecticut Registered Nurse license
- BLS required
