Registered Nurse (RN), Float Critical Care / ICU

Provide nursing care on the Neuro ICU/related units, including assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and supervision of patient care per unit policies. Serve as a preceptor and charge nurse, delegating tasks to RN and non-RN staff, and collaborating with the healthcare team. Demonstrate competency in neuro assessment, airway management, suctioning (pharyngeal, endotracheal, tracheostomy), halo brace care, ventilator care, and specialized neuro procedures. Contribute to education and discharge planning, documenting Plan of Care, and ensuring patient/family involvement. Requires active RN licensure in CT (as stated) and BLS certification; BSN preferred; minimum 1 year of acute nursing experience.
