Job Summary
Assess and reassess patient needs across medical, cardiac, and stepdown units, analyzing findings to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes. Implement care interventions guided by current standards to achieve patient goals, then evaluate outcomes using critical thinking to recognize problems and reach sound conclusions. Float between approved pods including Med/Surg, Ortho/Spine, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department campuses. Maintain current Oklahoma RN license, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and other required certifications throughout employment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to float between all the units of one of the approved pods
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN) preferred
- RN experience in Med/Surg Pod - 1 year experience in an equivalent area
- RN experience in IMC Pod - 1 year IMC or equivalent experience
- RN experience in Critical Care - 2 Years Critical Care Experience to include sufficient orientation to and demonstrated annual competencies for: Basic & Advanced Hemodynamics, Pacemaker and Mechanical Ventilation
- RN experience in ER Pod - 2 years ED experience
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic EKG interpretation
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- MANDT certification
