Job Summary
Assess and reassess patient health care needs across medical-surgical, stepdown, orthopedic, and critical care units. Analyze assessments to determine nursing diagnoses and expected outcomes, then implement interventions guided by current practice standards and policies. Evaluate patient outcomes using critical thinking and evidence-based knowledge to identify problems and reach sound conclusions. Systematically coordinate care with patients, families, and healthcare providers while maintaining current Oklahoma RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and other required certifications. Float between approved pods including Med/Surg, Intermediate Care, Critical Care, and Emergency Department.
Required Qualifications
- Must be able to float between all the units of one of the approved pods.
- Approved pods include: Med/Surg - Observation, and Ortho/Spine.
- Intermediate Care - PCU and PCCU.
- Critical Care - ICU and CVICU.
- Emergency Department - Hwy 9, Moore Medical Center and Healthplex campuses.
- Diploma or Associate's degree (ADN) required
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Masters of Science in Nursing (MSN)
- RN experience as follows:
- Med/Surg Pod - 1 year experience in an equivalent area.
- IMC Pod 1 year IMC or equivalent experience.
- Critical Care - 2 Years Critical Care Experience to include sufficient orientation to and demonstrated annual competencies for: Basic & Advanced Hemodynamics, Pacemaker and Mechanical Ventilation.
- ER Pod - 2 years ED experience.
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse license
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic EKG interpretation certified within 6 months of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- MANDT certification within 6 months of employment
