Registered Nurse (RN) - Field Nurse (1099 Independent Contractor)

Job Summary
Conduct nursing assessments, admissions, reassessments, and discharge visits for members in their homes while completing physician orders and Medicaid waiver requirements. Develop and update nursing care plans, perform supervisory visits for caregivers, and educate patients and families on medications, disease management, and safety protocols. Maintain HIPAA compliance, utilize Home Care BOSS for documentation, and report significant changes in patient condition to the Director of Nursing. Submit all required documentation, including admissions, assessments, and incident reports, within MDC Healthcare's timeframes. Maintain professional communication with physicians, case managers, and staff while adhering to all contractual obligations.
Required Qualifications
- Active Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Minimum one (1) year of nursing experience
- Current BLS Certification
- Valid Georgia driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- Current automobile insurance
- Ability to pass a background screening
- Strong clinical assessment skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to work independently
- Maintain an active RN license throughout the contract period
- Maintain current BLS certification
- Maintain all required professional certifications
- Accept only assignments they are available to complete
- Arrive on time for scheduled visits
- Notify scheduling immediately if unable to complete an assigned visit
- Maintain a professional appearance
- Wear MDC Healthcare identification while providing services
- Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, and compassion
- Respond promptly to work-related communications during contracted assignments
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all times
- Supply your own smartphone, internet access, and basic office equipment needed to complete documentation
- Maintain professional liability insurance (if required)
