Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for neonates, adolescents, and adults while collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary team members. Collect and document comprehensive health data, maintain privacy, and apply the nursing process and growth and development principles to meet unique physical and psychosocial needs. Communicate effectively with providers and families to ensure care plans are understood, coordinate resources for discharge planning, and promote patient flow by adhering to admitting and transfer timeframes. Identify critical values, report outcome variances using read-back procedures, and implement infection prevention practices including fall prevention and restraint use per policy. Demonstrate strong clinical judgment by reacting to patient condition changes, activating response teams when needed, and participating in unit-based drills, peer review, and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Maryland Board of Nursing RN License
- American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
