Job Summary
Administer care to a patient population ranging from newborn to geriatric using a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. Prioritize patient care needs based on assessment and implement plans consistent with physician orders, hospital policy, and departmental protocols. Maintain current Texas RN licensure and obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, and ENPC certifications prior to direct patient care. This full-time night shift role supports a Level IV trauma center and acute stroke facility within UT Health Jacksonville's 33-bed ER, ICU, and surgical suites.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Degree in nursing from an accredited school of professional nursing
- Current Texas RN license
- BLS certification
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC)
- NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification
- Night shift availability
- Full-time availability
- Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) role acceptance
Desired Qualifications
- One year of emergency nursing experience
- Two years of acute care nursing experience
- CEN
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC)
