Job Summary
Coordinate and perform hands-on acute patient care at the bedside in the Emergency Department Observation Unit. Manage patient populations requiring critical care, emergency, pediatric, and neonatal support while adhering to strict clinical protocols. Deliver patient-centered, holistic care and build caring relationships with patients and families. Maintain licensure in the state of practice and complete required certifications including BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP. Work a 36-hour week from 7:00am to 7:00pm at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in O'Fallon, IL. Join Hospital Sisters Health System, a multi-institutional organization serving communities in Illinois and Wisconsin with over 145 years of service.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from an accredited and approved school of nursing accepted for licensure in the state of practice
- Bachelor's of science in nursing
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of practice
- Valid multi-state RN license as outlined in the Nurse Licensure Compact rules (Wisconsin)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- COVID-19 vaccines or an approved medical or religious exemption
- 36 hrs/week schedule
