Job Summary
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned ER unit, coordinates care planning with other disciplines, and delivers bedside nursing care using the nursing process. May supervise other healthcare staff, delegating tasks and directing care when in charge for a shift. Performs hourly rounding and adheres to safety guidelines and practices to ensure high-quality patient care; evaluates the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice to meet patient goals.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or equivalent
- Active RN license in good standing
- ER nursing experience or demonstrated proficiency in emergency care
- Ability to provide age-specific nursing care
- Supervisory/leadership responsibilities may be required
