Job Summary
The Registered Nurse for the Surgical Admit & Recovery role provides high-quality nursing care before and after surgical procedures, including preoperative assessments, taking care of patients in the Pre-Op area, and immediate post-anesthesia care with patient/ family education on post-operative care and discharge expectations. Requires RN licensure in NY, BSN preferred, BLS/CPR, CNOR/CPAN a plus, and 1-2 years in Pre-Op/PACU or perioperative nursing. Part-time, day/evening rotating shift at St. Joseph’s Health in Syracuse, NY. Pay range $38.75–$54.85 hourly, equivalent to $80,600–$114,088 annually, depending on experience and location.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited college or university affiliated nursing program
- Current Licensure as a Registered Nurse RN in New York
- BLS/CPR
- BSN graduate preferred
- CNOR or CPAN certification a plus
- Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience in Pre-Op, PACU, or Surgical/Perioperative Nursing
