Job Summary
Licensed staff nurse PRN Endoscopy at Houston Methodist providing professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducting nursing assessments, assisting with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records. Collaborates with physicians and interprofessional health care team to coordinate compassionate, efficient, high-quality care and achieve treatment outcomes. Assumes leadership roles including participating in or leading unit and shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new employees, and potentially contributing to service line or hospital-wide initiatives with management.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
- Two years RN experience in a healthcare environment
- RN - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure – Must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
