Job Summary
Conduct full-time nursing coverage on the Endoscopy Unit from 5:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., Monday through Friday, with variable 4x10 or 5x8 hour shifts. Manage on-call night, weekend, and holiday rotations while supporting eight operating rooms, one procedure room, and two endoscopy suites. Prepare patients for surgery in private pre-op rooms and oversee recovery in 14 PACU bays. Maintain a BSN or ADN with a plan to convert within five years, holding a Virginia RN license and BLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- One year of direct Operating Room (OR), Endoscopy or PACU experience as a Registered Nurse
- If PACU Nurse, one year of critical care (ICU or ED) or PACU RN experience
- RN license to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia
- BLS healthcare provider certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
- BSN from an accredited school of nursing
- If RN has an Associate's Degree (ADN), must complete BSN within 5 years of start date
Desired Qualifications
- RN with at least 2 years of GI/Endoscopy experience or critical care (ICU/ED)
