Job Summary
Act as a liaison between the hospital and area Emergency Medical Services providers, serving as an advocate for the facility with private, local, regional, and state EMS agencies. Ensure collaboration across all care settings within the facility regarding EMS and public safety relations. Directly communicate with the medical team and physician regarding changes in a patient's clinical condition, responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. Maintain current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications while holding a valid Registered Nurse license. Full-time day shift position at St. Mary of Nazareth Hospital in Chicago, IL.
Required Qualifications
- Current and valid Registered Nurse license issued by the State
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintain current
- ACLS within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
- PALS and/or ENPC required within 30 days upon hire and maintain current
Desired Qualifications
- One year EMS outreach experience preferred
- three years EMS clinical experience preferred
