Provide thorough and accurate assessments, interventions, and treatments for emergent and non-emergent patients in a fast-paced primary/urgent care setting. Perform triage to determine care priority and direct physician exams based on patient acuity. Initiate tests per protocol, delegate to unlicensed assistive personnel, and monitor their performance. Collaborate with physicians and team members to facilitate patient flow, ensure quality care, and prepare patients for transfer when necessary. Maintain an advanced knowledge base of disease entities and medications, document billing codes, and schedule outpatient diagnostic testing with precertification. Serve as an advocate and educator for patients and families, while ensuring patient safety, privacy, and adherence to infection control standards.
