Job Summary
Delivers nursing care by developing diagnoses, establishing objectives, defining interventions, and providing physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, families, and friends. Reviews physician prescriptions, communicates care plans to the healthcare team, and coordinates with providers while conferring with physicians. Develops nursing care plans by obtaining histories, examining patients, documenting conditions, and defining schedules. Teaches healthcare requirements by establishing goals, instructing patients and families on self-care skills, and answering questions. Evaluates patient care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring outcomes, reviewing records, and modifying care plans. Maintains a safe environment by following infection-control policies, medication procedures, and legal regulations. Documents services in patient records, maintains equipment, manages supplies, and ensures competence in nursing capabilities. Works rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing
- An active license in the state of practice
- The ability to work the hours specified
- Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties
- The ability to communicate effectively with others
- The ability to hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds
Desired Qualifications
- 1-3 years Experience working in a clinical environment
