Job Summary
Perform plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs. Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, condition, and circumstances. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient. Participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Requires current RN license and associate's degree; offers $33.19-$44.81 hourly rate with sign-on bonus.
Required Qualifications
- current RN VA or compact state license
- associate's degree in nursing
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support
- American Heart Association ACLS within 6 months
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) American Heart Association OR Emergency Nurse Association (ENPC) within 6 months
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Trauma Nurse Certification Course (TNCC) Emergency Nurse Association, preferred
- Experience in acute care hospital, preferred
