Job Summary
Conduct direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. Perform timely patient assessments, identify needs, and initiate appropriate nursing interventions while monitoring and communicating patient conditions to the care team, physicians, and families. Document all care provided accurately and complete revisions of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Maintain current NC RN licensure, BLS, PALS, and ACLS certifications. Required Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of North Carolina (or compact license)
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited nursing program
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (required)
- PALS and ACLS (required)
- Active North Carolina RN license (single state) or compact required
- If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins
