Job Summary
Perform plan of care interventions including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities. Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family while assisting with activities of daily living such as hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation. Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, referrals, and psychosocial support needs. Evaluate patient and family learning needs and provide appropriate education based on age, culture, and condition. Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient and participate in performance improvement and continuing education. Provide quality patient care and work flexible shifts or units as needed. Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- current state RN license
- bachelor's degree or associate degree from an accredited nursing school
- ACLS
- BCLS
- PALS
- NIHSS within 90 days of hire
- 1 to 3 years of RN Emergency Department experience
