Job Summary
Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and activities of daily living assistance. Monitor and communicate patient conditions to the care team, coordinate patient transfers and discharges, and educate patients and families on care plans. Document all interventions and advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients. This full-time night role involves a rotating 3x12 schedule (7p-7a) with weekend shifts and self-scheduled swap flexibility. Applicants must hold a current Tennessee or compact RN license, an associate's degree, and obtain BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, STABLE, and HWC certifications within 90 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- current Tennessee or compact state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification within 90 days of hire
- Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certification within 90 days of hire
- STABLE certification within 90 days of hire
- Handle With Care (HWC) certification within 6 months of hire
