Job Summary
Emergency Department RN provides direct patient care in a fast-paced ER environment using the nursing process, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and documentation. Collaborates across disciplines for patient transfer, discharge, referrals, and psychosocial support; evaluates learning needs of patients and families and provides appropriate education; advocates for patients’ physical and emotional well-being. Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high-stress setting. Schedule is full-time nights (3x12) with rotating weekends; RN license in Tennessee or a compact state with 30-day/license-file obligations and an associate degree is required; BLS within 30 days, ACLS and PALS within specified timeframes. Required Qualifications
- Current Tennessee or compact state RN license
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school
- AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- PALS within 6 months of hire
- BSN preferred
