Job Summary
Registered Nurse (RN) for Emergency Room weekend shifts providing high-quality, patient-centered care in collaboration with the care team. Responsibilities include assessing patient pain, performing procedures, documenting care in the medical record, teaching patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, and follow-up measures, and translating complex medical information to ensure understanding. Requires RN license and nursing diploma, with timely attainment of ENPC or PALS, Trauma/NC courses, and BLS/ACLS as specified. Emphasis on advocacy, collaboration, and adherence to established nursing models to support positive patient outcomes in an emergency department setting.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months
- No Travel Required
