Job Summary
Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Department, working on weekend shifts. Responsibilities include assessing and managing patient pain, performing procedures and documentation in the medical record, responding to patient needs, and educating patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, follow-up measures, and lifestyle changes. Requires RN licensure, a Registered Nurse Diploma, and certifications including BLS; ACLS; and PALS/EMT-level trauma training with deadlines within specified timeframes. Emphasis on collaboration with medical providers, care team, and patient advocacy to support clinical outcomes in an emergency room setting.
Required Qualifications
- RN or Registered Nurse license
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
