Job Summary
Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department provides care to emergent and critical patients in a Level 2 Trauma Center setting; role includes didactic learning in a simulation lab, applying critical thinking to high-acuity cases, and opportunities for certification as a trauma nurse while maintaining a full-time day shift schedule (7:00 am – 7:00 pm) with rotating weekends/holidays; requires an Associate’s degree in Nursing and an active Connecticut RN license, with BLS/CPR certification and ACLS/TNCC certifications (support available post-hire).
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program with an Associate’s degree in Nursing is required
- Valid RN license in Connecticut
- BLS/CPR certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- ACLS and TNCC certification (support available post-hire)
