Job Summary
Provides coordinated, patient-centered care in the Emergency Room, including assessing pain and promoting effective pain management, performing procedures and documenting care, teaching patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures, and preparing patients for future self-management. Requires RN with a Registered Nurse Diploma and certifications such as ATCN/ENPC, PALS, ACLS within specified timelines, and BLS. The role supports high-quality care within Research Medical Center/HCA Healthcare system in Kansas City area, including trauma center operations and collaboration with the care team.
Required Qualifications
- RN license
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
