Job Summary
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Room in collaboration with physicians and the care team. Assess patient pain and perform monitoring, procedures, and care as ordered; document care in the patient medical record; promptly respond to patient requests; and educate patients and families about medical conditions, treatment plans, medications, follow-up measures, and lifestyle changes. Translate complex medical information for patient/family understanding and contribute to the department’s performance and outcomes through compassionate, evidence-based nursing practice.
Required Qualifications
- RN – Registered Nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurse or Trauma Nursing Core Course must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 1 year of employment start date
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support
