Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the Emergency Room in collaboration with medical providers and the care team. Provide individualized, comprehensive care using established nursing models (Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage); advocate for patients and families; assess and manage pain; perform procedures and document care; educate patients and families about conditions, treatment plans, medications, and follow-up measures; teach on follow-up lifestyle and health maintenance. Requires internal certifications such as ACLS, BCLS, PALS/TNCC or equivalent within specified timelines and a nursing diploma with RN licensure. Commitment to safe, high-quality care and continuous improvement within a hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- RN license/registered nurse
- Registered Nurse Diploma
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of start date
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 30 days of start date
- Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course, or PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 1 year of start date
- Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses, or Trauma Nursing Core Course within 1 year of start date
